Job Responsibilities
About the Position
- Barrun Agro Limited is looking for a capable and results-driven professional to lead and manage the company`s entire export commercial operation. The selected candidate will oversee export documentation, buyer coordination, shipment planning, regulatory compliance, banking formalities, and export proceeds realization.
- The candidate must be able to independently manage the complete export process, from receiving a buyer`s order to shipment execution and realization of export proceeds.
- Lead and manage the entire export commercial operation, ensuring timely execution of export orders and shipments.
- Manage export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, EXP forms, bills of lading, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with international buyers regarding orders, product specifications, pricing, payment terms, and shipment schedules.
- Manage shipment planning, container booking, loading, transportation, freight arrangements, and delivery coordination.
- Liaise with banks, customs authorities, C&F agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and inspection agencies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable export regulations, customs procedures, banking requirements, and destination-market documentation standards.
- Coordinate with procurement, sourcing, quality control, packaging, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure products meet buyer specifications and shipment deadlines.
- Monitor export bills, payment due dates, outstanding receivables, and realization of export proceeds in coordination with the Accounts and Finance Department.
- Maintain shipment-wise documentation, export cost statements, buyer records, and proceeds realization reports.
- Coordinate documentation and applications for eligible export incentives and other applicable benefits.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, buyer claims, and payment-related issues.
- Prepare periodic reports on export orders, shipment performance, profitability, pending proceeds, and operational risks.
Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in export commercial operations.
- Experience in agricultural exports, particularly fresh fruits, vegetables, and perishable commodities, will be highly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of export documentation, banking procedures, shipment coordination, and export proceeds realization is essential.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to independently manage and lead end-to-end export operations.
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, international trade documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and commercial reporting.
- Ability to work under strict shipment deadlines and manage multiple export orders.
- High standards of integrity, accountability, and commercial awareness.
Educational Requirement
- Master`s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant professional qualifications or specialized certifications in international trade, export management, or commercial operations will be an added advantage.
