Position OverviewOK Immigration is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting & IT Intern (Accounting Systems Development) for a four-month, full-time internship at our Chattogram office. This hands-on role is designed for an accounting student or recent graduate who wants to apply theoretical knowledge in a real business environment while helping us clear our accounting backlog, standardize records, and build a customized accounting solution using suitable digital applications.Job ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Backlog Clearance
- Review and organize historical transactions and supporting documents to help clear pending bookkeeping work.
- Post transactions using double-entry principles; maintain journals, ledgers, cashbooks, and basic accounting schedules.
- Assist with reconciliation of bank transactions, receipts, expenses, payables, and receivables; flag discrepancies for review.
- Help design a suitable chart of accounts and standardized templates for income, expenses, receivables, payables, and reporting.
- Work with management to evaluate, configure, test, and document a customized accounting solution using relevant applications.
- Help build accurate spreadsheet formulas, reports, checks, and practical procedures that the team can continue using.
- Use ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and other suitable tools to support research, spreadsheet development, documentation, and workflow improvements.
- Check all AI-generated formulas, classifications, and outputs before use; protect confidential financial information.
- Explore simple automation opportunities to reduce repetitive data entry and improve consistency.
- Prepare basic financial summaries and progress updates on backlog clearance and system development.
- Organize electronic records and perform other related accounting and systems-support tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Age At least 22 years
- Only Male
- Sound knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, including debits, credits, journal entries, general ledgers, trial balances, and basic financial statements.
- Practical skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, financial calculations, and data organization.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Claude, and the ability to use them thoughtfully for research, spreadsheet support, and workflow development.
- A combination of accounting knowledge and relevant IT proficiency is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, confidentiality, and willingness to learn and implement new processes.
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, Zoho Books, or other accounting applications.
- Experience with advanced spreadsheets, PivotTables, data validation, automation, cloud applications, or low-code/no-code tools.
- Any practical experience in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, financial data entry, or reporting.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting & Information System, Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Finance
Experience
