Industry: Ready-Made Garments (RMG) – Knitwear/WovenDepartment: Quality Assurance & Quality ControlJob Location: Chittagong, BangladeshJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented Head of Quality Control (QC) to lead our garments factory`s quality operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, reducing defects, improving production efficiency, and maintaining compliance with buyer requirements and international quality standards.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall quality control team across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures, SOPs, and inspection systems.
- Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards, specifications, approved samples, and technical requirements.
- Monitor inline, end-line, final, and pre-final inspections.
- Analyze quality defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Reduce DHU (Defects per Hundred Units), rework, rejection, and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with merchandising, production, technical, and finishing departments to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct regular quality meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Monitor quality KPIs and prepare periodic quality performance reports.
- Ensure effective implementation of AQL-based inspection systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in garments quality management, including at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of knitwear/woven garment manufacturing and quality assurance systems.
- Practical experience in buyer audits, AQL inspection, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and quality reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams, meet shipment deadlines, and achieve quality targets.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor`s degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a relevant discipline.
- Professional training in garment quality management will be an advantage.
