Job Context:Dr. Essa Mohammad International Cadet Academy (DEMICA) is inviting applications from dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic individuals for the position of Early Years Educator.The Academy is seeking educators who are passionate about early childhood education and can create a safe, caring, engaging and stimulating learning environment for young children. The selected candidates will play an important role in children's early academic, social, emotional, linguistic and moral development.Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons and learning activities for early years students.
- Develop children's foundational skills in English, communication, literacy and numeracy.
- Use interactive, creative and child-centred teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and effective.
- Support children's physical, intellectual, social, emotional and moral development.
- Create a friendly, safe, hygienic and stimulating classroom environment.
- Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Use educational materials, storytelling, rhymes, games, arts and hands-on activities in teaching.
- Support the development of children's spoken English through regular classroom interaction.
- Introduce basic Arabic language learning and age-appropriate Islamic teachings where applicable.
- Observe, assess and document children's learning progress and developmental needs.
- Maintain effective communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Ensure proper care, supervision, discipline and safeguarding of children throughout school activities.
- Maintain classroom records, lesson plans, attendance and other relevant academic documents.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, academic coordinators and school management.
- Participate in teacher training, staff meetings, academic programmes and institutional activities as required.
Requirements
- Age At least 25 years
- Good command of spoken and written English is essential.
- Knowledge of Arabic will be considered an added advantage.
- Previous teaching experience, particularly in kindergarten, preschool or early years education, will be preferred.
- Must be passionate about teaching, learning and child development.
- Must have a caring, patient, responsible, positive and child-friendly attitude.
- Must possess good communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Must be punctual, disciplined, honest and professionally committed.
- Must be a non-smoker.
- Must regularly perform Salah (prayers).
- Candidates who have successfully completed Hifz of the Holy Qur`an will receive special preference, subject to relevant academic and professional qualifications.
- Must demonstrate respect for Islamic values, institutional discipline and child safeguarding principles.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor/Honors
- Minimum Bachelor`s degree from a recognized university.
- Candidates with degrees in Education, Early Childhood Education, English, or relevant disciplines will receive preference.
- Professional training or qualifications in early childhood education will be considered an advantage.
