Other Requirement : Educational Qualification & Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field or higher.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a senior managerial role in any commercial bank/financial institution. Recently retired bankers are also eligible to apply.
  • Knowledge of cooperative principles and legal regulations and experience working within a cooperative or member-driven organization will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in community outreach.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

    Responsibilities : NICL (National Investment Cooperatives Limited) registered in the year 20---having jurisdiction to operate in the entire country and largely involved in financing rural infrastructure and agricultural projects, is looking to hire a General Manager for this unit. This is a senior position and will report to the Management.Job Overview : A Cooperative Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial management, and strategic planning of NICL and serving as the bridge between the cooperative's members, board of directors, and external stakeholders, ensuring the cooperative meets its goals and maintains its foundational principles. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of cooperative principles and practices.Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the cooperative's finances, including budgeting, investment management, and ensuring financial stability.
  • Overseeing daily operations, implementing policies, and ensuring the cooperative runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Providing support to members, addressing their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to achieve the cooperative's objectives and ensure its long-term success.
  • Ensuring the cooperative adheres to its governing documents and legal requirements.
  • Maintaining clear communication with members, stakeholders, and the board of directors.
  • Addressing and resolving any conflicts that may arise within the cooperative.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the cooperative's activities.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the cooperative's physical assets.
  • Managing and supervising employees of the cooperative. Ability to motivate and guide staff and members.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on available information.
