  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in fixed asset management. Prior experience in manufacturing, furniture, interior decor or construction industries preferred. Experience in managing factory assets, showroom furnishings, tools and property is a strong plus. Familiarity with capex budgeting and asset lifecycle management. Understanding of asset insurance, AMC tracking and maintenance logs. Knowledge of asset revaluation, impairment and inventory audits.

    Responsibilities : Job Summary:Majesto Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fixed Asset Manager to oversee the accurate recording, monitoring, valuation and reporting of all fixed assets across the Furniture & Decor manufacturing and showroom operations. The role will ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, physical verification, disposal and compliance of all tangible assets such as factory machinery, tools, furniture, fixtures, vehicles and IT infrastructure. This position plays a vital role in safeguarding company assets, optimizing asset usage & ensuring alignment with accounting and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register in line with company policy and accounting standards.
  • Record new assets (land, machinery, furniture, decor props, IT equipment, vehicles, etc.) with appropriate tagging and classification.
  • Monitor capitalization timelines and ensure correct allocation to cost centers or projects.
  • Calculate and apply depreciation according to company policy and accounting standards (IAS 16 / IFRS).
  • Ensure accurate month-end and year-end depreciation journal entries.
  • Support the finance team during internal and external audits regarding asset-related disclosures.
  • Organize and conduct regular physical verification of fixed assets across factories, showrooms & warehouses as well.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Maintain proper documentation (asset tags, location logs, movement records).
  • Track intra-location and inter-location transfers of assets.
  • Monitor assets nearing end-of-life and coordinate for revaluation, disposal, or retirement with necessary approvals.
  • Ensure proper disposal documentation and gain/loss on sale entries.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements (e.g., depreciation schedules for tax purposes) and internal policies.
  • Prepare periodic reports on asset value, utilization, maintenance status, and depreciation forecasts.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for capex planning.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting standards (e.g., IAS 16, IFRS, local tax laws).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or other asset management modules).
  • Excellent in Excel and reporting tools, Strong documentation, audit-readiness and organizational skills.
