Job ContextApplications are invited from qualified, energetic and self-motivated candidates for the position of Linen Keeper, IAHS-H on the terms and conditions mentioned below:Job Responsibilities:1. Linen Inventory Management:
To keep proper records of linen stock levels.
To monitor linen usage and report to the authority about shortages or surpluses.
2. Linen Distribution:
To distribute clean linen (bed sheets, gowns, towels, etc.) to different departments.
To collect dirty linen from wards and other areas according to schedule.
3. Coordination with Laundry Services:
To ensure timely collection and dispatch of linen to and from the selected laundry·
To verify that washed items meet the cleanliness and quality standards.
4. Quality Control:
To inspect linen for wear, damage, or stains and remove unsuitable items from different departments·
To maintain the hygiene etc
5. Record Keeping:
To maintain registers of linen movement (clean and dirty), losses, and replacements (if necessary)·
To prepare reports as required by the hospital administration.
6. Storage Maintenance:
To ensure linen is stored properly to prevent contamination.
To keep linen rooms organized, clean, and secure.
7. Communication and cooperation:
To work diligently with housekeeping, nursing, and other related staff.
To respond to urgent linen requests or emergencies.
8. Compliance and Safety:
To follow hospital procedures, including infection control and safety regulations.
To use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling dirty or contagious linen.
9. To execute any other duties as directed by the authority.
