At least 10 (ten) years of work experience in a similar position in any large organization.
Retired Defence Officers of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel/Major or equivalent with good health will be given preference.
For an exceptionally deserving candidate, the academic qualification may be relaxed.
Knowledge in operating and monitoring IP-based CCTV and modern electronic access and security control devices.

Responsibilities
:
Create and oversee a security team to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and university assets while complying with policies and regulations.
Manage and update the Security protocols to maintain campus safety and address emerging challenges.
Oversee CCTV and alarm systems for timely incident investigations and implement a comprehensive surveillance system.
Plan and execute protocols for potential threats and crises to ensure quick response and risk mitigation.
Maintain safety protocols for electrical, fire, and structural issues. Provide training and checklists to ensure full compliance.
Manage access to sensitive areas and conduct background checks while overseeing fire drills and safety compliance.
Oversee recruitment and training of security personnel and collaborate with local law enforcement.
Work with IT and facilities to integrate security measures and enhance physical security with cybersecurity strategies.
Report security issues to management, recommend improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Adopt Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) guidelines and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Perform other tasks as assigned by university authorities or the Board of Trustees, including participation in safety committees and representation at events.
