Working knowledge of digital data collection tools, such as SurveyCTO, KoboCollect, or ODK.
Basic understanding of sampling frameworks, survey logistics, and data quality assurance mechanisms.

Comfortable with using smartphones and basic mobile apps for research-related tasks.
Ability to collect, organize, and verify data effectively, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to inspect database elements with process log and recommending means for improvement.
Familiarity with basic concepts of foundational learning assessments or citizen-led surveys is a plus.

Responsibilities
:
In summary, the Field Research & Training Leads will be responsible for:
Delivering standardized training to volunteer surveyors at the division level.
Providing continuous technical support during data collection.
Monitoring field activities and ensuring strict adherence to survey and assessment protocols.
Coordinating with local partners to mobilize, supervise, and troubleshoot survey and assessment operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:Training & Capacity Building:
Attend national-level Training of Trainers (ToT) facilitated by IID.
Lead training sessions for surveyors in assigned divisions using standardized curriculum and materials.
Ensure surveyors understand the assessment tools, sampling protocols, ethical guidelines, and quality standards.
Field Coordination & Supervision
Mobilize and coordinate volunteers in collaboration with local partner organizations.
Provide technical backstopping and on-ground supervision during surveyor deployment.
Monitor logistics, travel, and field schedules to ensure efficient execution of survey activities.
Quality Control & Monitoring:
Conduct pre-, during, and post-data collection checks to verify adherence to protocols.
Lead the recheck process in selected areas as part of quality assurance mechanisms.
Support troubleshooting and real-time corrective actions in the field.
Reporting & Communication:
Maintain regular communication with the central IID team on progress, issues, and feedback from the field.
Submit daily monitoring reports and participate in virtual debriefs and review meetings.
Document key learnings and challenges to support adaptive learning and continuous improvement.
Coordination:
Coordination may involve engaging with a range of teams and stakeholders, including but not limited to:
IID’s Program Management Team (PMT)
The global research team
Grassroots partner organizations or community-based organizations across various divisions
District Coordinators (DCs) at the grassroots level
Volunteers and surveyors working at the grassroots.
Financial Benefits and Conditions:
This is a short-term contractual position, and the total remuneration will be negotiated based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the number of actual working days required for project implementation. While an indicative famonthly honorarium of BDT 25,000 may be considered, final payment terms will be based on actual days worked and agreed deliverables.
Payment will be made in instalments, subject to satisfactory performance and submission of required deliverables.
Tentatively, this will include:
An initial instalment upon signing the agreement
A second instalment during the mid-point of the assignment
A final instalment upon completion of all tasks and submission of approved documentation.
IID will cover travel, accommodation, and communication (mobile and internet) expenses on an actual cost basis, subject to the submission of valid receipts and approval from the project supervisor.
The total number of working days will be determined based on field needs, the number of locations to be covered, and evolving project timelines, especially to ensure quality and responsiveness to contextual realities.
Employees are expected to be available for field travel and in-person engagements as needed during the contract period.
Other Information:
The remuneration package, total workdays, and deliverables are subject to revision based on mutual agreement during the negotiation process with IID management.
IID reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time in consultation with the employee and in alignment with IID’s procurement and operational policies.
All data, materials, and outputs produced during the work period shall remain the intellectual property of IID and must be returned or handed over upon project completion or contract termination.
