Educational Requirement
:
Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is mandatory. Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) preferred.Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role. License: Must hold valid registration from the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB).

Responsibilities
:
Supervise day-to-day operations of the in-door pharmacy to ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medicines.
Ensure all prescriptions are reviewed, verified, and dispensed in accordance with hospital protocols.
Maintain availability of essential and emergency drugs at all times.
Monitor and manage stock levels, prevent stock-outs or overstocking, and coordinate timely reordering.
Ensure proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals, including temperature-sensitive items.
Oversee regular stock audits and manage expiry/near-expiry tracking and disposal.
Supervise, train, and motivate pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Coordinate staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during shifts.
Support professional development and performance appraisal of team members.
Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines (DGDA, BSTI, hospital SOPs).
Maintain accurate records of controlled drugs, prescription logs, and pharmacy reports.
Facilitate internal and external audits as required.
Work in close collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other departments for patient-centered pharmacy support.
Handle queries and concerns related to medication availability and usage.
Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to medication safety initiatives.
