Village Education Resource Center (VERC) is a non-governmental organization which started its journey in 1977 as a collaborative project of Save the Children, USA and UNICEF. It became a legal entity under Society?s Registration Act, in 1981, with the Department of Social Services in 1989 and with the NGO Affairs Bureau, Bangladesh. VERC is working with the poor and marginalize community for their empowerment through improving their situation by attaining self-reliance. It always tries to address the emerging needs of the working communities and collaborates with various local, national and international NGOs and government departments in realizing their common goal of social development. Since inception, VERC is working on different development aspects spreading all over the country. VERC implement its activities systematically in a planned way by consulting the community people and other development partners.

Minimum 02 years of experience working with ICT-based projects and STEM capacity building for children and women
Experience working with NGOs/INGOs
Prior experience working with women and children
Experience in managing funds and expenditure budgets
In-depth understanding of development programs and issues related to children
Problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Advanced computer literacy (MS Office suite), Internet, and trubbleshooting
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

The Village Education Resource Center (VERC) is a national level voluntary organization. The organization is registered under the Bureau of NGO Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare, whose certificate numbers are 133 and Dha - 02272 respectively and it is also registered with the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) with certificate number 01275-00523-00017. In partnership with Save the Children, VERC is going to implement Oporajita Phase 2 project in Savar and Gazipur area.Recruitment against the following project position will be made on urgent basis for implementation of the project interventions:Duration: June 2025 to November 2027Core Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Implementation
Develop comprehensive annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans for STEM initiatives
Design project strategies, schedules, and timelines that fulfill STEM objectives
Mintain regular coordination and collaboration with The Tech Lab and VERC administration.
Ensure quality implement of STEM session at Schools according action plan.
The position holder will be committed to the protection of children from all forms of abuse and exploitation following the safeguarding policy and procedures.
She/He is required to carry out the duties in accordance with the organizational PSEA and Child Protection policy.
Maintain regular coordination with STEM volunteers and schoolteachers.
Capacity development of Schoolteachers and vounteers on STEM session facilitation.
Manage day-to-day operations of STEM initiatives following established policies and procedures
Conduct monthly meetings with partner NGOs and ensure timely field reporting
Partnership and Stakeholder Management
Maintain close communication with stakeholders, industry experts, and partners
Liaise with school teachers, education offices, and UNO offices for smooth implementation
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to ensure safeguarding policies are understood and followed
Work closely with technical and administrative supervisors to implement initiatives according to plan
Content Development and Communication
Ensure all resource materials and training modules are expertly designed and developed
Update content on social media, web pages, and other platforms to increase stakeholder reach
Prepare content for press releases and media coverage
Develop and share project success stories across all appropriate channels
Create activity reports and event briefs that effectively communicate project progress
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
Collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data on a daily basis
Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
Prepare comprehensive monthly progress reports and annual reports
Document field learnings and case studies to share with partners
Perform risk management analysis and provide solutions where applicable
Financial Management
Prepare event budgets and comply with organizational organizational policy and procedures
Develop procurement plan and ensure all procument timely following the policy.
Track budget vs expenditure to deliver greater efficiency
Ensure all financial dealings according VERC organizational policies.
Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management.
