Responsibilities
:
Verify the readiness of the equipment by checking the Ready LED indicator; inform the medical physicist or biomedical engineer if it's not glowing and log the issue.
Receive and dispatch inpatients by filling out tracer charts from patient files.
Enter patient details (name, age, sex, region of X-ray, etc.) into the CR/DR system.
Prepare patients for X-ray contrast studies by ensuring necessary paperwork (consent forms, medical history, old documents) is completed.
Provide hospital gowns for females and linen sheets for males, as required.
Request patients to hand over valuables to their attendants, for both outpatients and inpatients.
After taking the X-ray as per the requisition, check processed films before informing patients of the results.
For outpatients, inform them about the report collection time, and for inpatients, notify them that the report will be dispatched to their ward.
Prepare processed films by labeling and packaging them correctly.
Perform additional tasks as required by departmental rules and regulations.
