The organization also addresses climate change impacts by building resilience and promoting economic recovery, education, and protection.PurposeThe Senior Officer Health - Data Management is responsible for overseeing the management and analysis of health data related to the Departure Health Check (DHC) and Immigration Medical Examinations (IME). This role involves ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of health data, coordinating with health practitioners, and supporting the implementation of health policies and procedures.Major ResponsibilitiesData Management:
Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of health data from DHC and IME processes.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of health data in compliance with departmental guidelines.
Manage electronic health records using eMedical and other relevant systems.
Coordinate with panel members and health practitioners to ensure timely and accurate data submission.
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive health information.
Health Check Coordination:
Support the implementation of Departure Health Check (DHC) for Offshore Refugee and Humanitarian Program visa holders.
Ensure visa holders' health conditions are documented and managed according to departmental standards.
Facilitate the submission of DHC findings using eMedical and paper forms as required.
Coordinate with Assisted Passage Service Providers (AP Service Providers) for payment and service delivery.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports on health data and trends for departmental review.
Analyze health data to identify patterns and areas for improvement in health check processes.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support health policy development.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with Australian health requirements and departmental policies.
Conduct audits and quality assurance checks on health data and processes.
Address any discrepancies or issues in health data management promptly.
Communication and Collaboration:
Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs, health practitioners, and other stakeholders.
Provide training and support to panel members on data management practices.
Respond to inquiries related to health data and DHC processes.
