The candidate must hold an MBBS degree or an MSc/MA in Epidemiology or Statistics (MPh or a related postgraduate qualification is preferred).
With over 10 years of experience including at least 5 years of work experience in a Supervisory capacity and experience in monitoring and evaluating large, multi-year international health sector development projects, research and data analysis.
Preference will be given to candidates who have published research papers in national or international journals, and strong technical skills, including ability to process and analyze data using one or more statistical software packages, including at least one of the following: SPSS, Epi-Info, Stata, MS Access.

Job Summary: The position is responsible for providing technical leadership in developing frameworks, plans, and indicators to capture performance results and ensure effective, accurate, and timely monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of all activities. The role also includes designing and conducting research and writing reports.Job Responsibilities:• Project/Department datao Reviews/ revises & ensures timeliness and accuracy of data collection forms in cooperation with Project Managers and department heads as required for management, government and donor reporting.o Ensure timely and accurate routine reports to departments, donors and the GoB.o Ensure program compliance of all established standards, guidelines and processes.o Validated data by field visit, Focus Group Discussion, Interview, sample test and document review etc.o Develop Monitoring tools aligning with each of the outcomes and outputs of project mentioned in the proposal and document on monthly, semi-annual and annual basiso Assist research team or external consultants to conduct baseline, midterm and end line evaluationso Assist Department Directors to disseminate lesson learn and best practices from quality programso Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports and submit to management on time.• Research projectso Oversee and/or conduct targeted evaluations and operations research, including design, data collection, management and analysis.o Ensure quality of data through data verification procedures including routine data quality audits and that these are routinely carried out during the project lifecycleo Be involved in proposal writing, budget development, data collection/entry/analysis oversight and report writing for projects with ‘lead’ responsibility.o Take lead in sourcing research projects tied to areas where LAMB would like to advocate for change through publications in peer reviews journals or presenting at national/international forums.o Take on responsibility for new Research in consultation with their director as appropriate to skills and interestso Population based maternal and child health outcomes linking with wealth ranking and reporting outcomes by wealth quintile.o Assists programs leads in providing baseline KAP and other surveys to meet donor reporting requirements against indicators.• Personnelo Supervision of MIS-R staff as mentioned in the organizational structure.o Appropriate feedback to MIS-R staff on daily tasks; data quality; time management.o Works with MIS-R Programme Managers and designated MIS-R officers to ensure functioning hospital databases and reporting systemso Help with orientation and evaluation of new MIS-R & CHDP M&E staff.o Interact with finance manager; grants and compliance manager (program and finance) as appropriate for research project managemento Ensures capacity development for community health workers and working with managers in developing log frames.• MIS Admino Attends Departmental PMT meetingso Participate in quality assurance activities which may arise.o Assists with development of job descriptions and department policies as appropriate
