Educational Requirement

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
• MBBS degree from a recognized medical college/university.
• Valid BMDC registration.
• Additional training or qualification in Sports Medicine, Physical Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.

Other Requirement

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience as a General Physician or Medical Officer.
• Experience in sports medicine, athlete healthcare, hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare settings will be preferred.

Responsibilities

Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Physician to provide comprehensive medical care and healthcare support to athletes, coaches, and Federation personnel, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing during training and competitions.Job Responsibilities• Provide general medical consultation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to athletes and Federation personnel.
• Monitor athletes’ general health, fitness, and medical conditions during training, camps, and competitions.
• Provide first-aid and emergency medical support during training sessions and sporting events.
• Assess sports-related injuries and provide initial medical management and appropriate referrals when required.
• Monitor common medical conditions, infections, illnesses, and other health concerns affecting athletes.
• Conduct routine health check-ups and provide preventive healthcare advice to athletes.
• Coordinate with physiotherapists, dietitians, coaches, and specialist physicians for comprehensive athlete care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure appropriate follow-up and referrals.
• Provide medical advice regarding athletes’ readiness for training and competition, where appropriate.
• Support health, hygiene, injury prevention, and overall athlete wellness initiatives of the Federation.
