Responsibilities

• Individual and Group Counseling: Provide confidential counselling services to students on a range of issues, including academic pressure, emotional well-being, social challenges, and family concerns.
• Crisis Intervention and Support: Offer immediate support in crisis situations, working closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
• Mental Health Awareness and Programs: Develop and lead initiatives to promote mental health awareness and well-being, including workshops on stress management, coping strategies, and self-care practices.
• Collaboration with Faculty and Parents: Work closely with teachers, the IB DP Coordinator, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being and academic success.
• Student Development and Reflection: Help students develop emotional resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation skills that will serve them both academically and personally.
• Student Transitions and Well-being: Support students in managing transitions (e.g., from MYP to DP, preparing for post-IB life) and provide guidance for students dealing with the demands of university applications and exams.
• Confidential Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, progress reports, and follow-up actions in line with school policies.
• Collaboration with External Professionals: When necessary, liaise with external counselors, therapists, or other specialists to provide additional support for students.
