Responsibilities
:
Manage the complete import process, from purchase order to delivery of goods.
Prepare and verify LC, Proforma Invoice (PI), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, and other import documents.
Coordinate with suppliers, banks, freight forwarders, C&F agents, shipping lines, and customs.
Handle LC opening, amendments, payments, and document negotiations with the bank.
Monitor shipment schedules, ETD/ETA, port arrival, customs clearance, and delivery.
Ensure all imports comply with Bangladesh customs, VAT, import regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with C&F agents for customs clearance and resolve documentation issues.
Calculate and monitor landed cost, customs duty, VAT, freight, insurance, and other import-related expenses.
Maintain accurate records of import documents, shipments, payments, and customs clearance.
Track supplier payments and outstanding import-related liabilities.
Prepare import reports, shipment status reports, and cost analysis for management.
Follow up on short shipments, damaged goods, discrepancies, and supplier claims.
Maintain proper filing and documentation.
Monitor changes in import regulations, customs procedures, and duty structures that may affect the business.
