Abdul Kadir Molla International School (AKMIS) has been established in 2013 by Mr. Abdul Kadir Molla, Managing Director of Thermax Group Limited as a non-profit organization. This school is run by the support of Mazid Molla Foundation. Mr. Abdul Kadir Molla is the founder Chairman of Mazid Molla Foundation. Abdul Kadir Molla International School offers education through two international curriculums from Nursery to Grade 12. AKMIS is an IB World School (IB School Code: 060139) which is authorized to offer Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). AKMIS is also a Cambridge International School (Cambridge International School Number: BD070) to offer Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, O Level, IGCSE and AS/A Level programmes.

  • Must-Haves:
    • Strong understanding of child-centered and inquiry-based learning
    • Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is highly preferred
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English
    • Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
    • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to continuous professional growth
    • Willingness to relocate to Narsingdi and commit for at least two years
    • Nice-to-Haves:
      • IB PYP training or workshop certification
      • Experience in concept-based teaching and transdisciplinary learning
      • Proficiency in educational technology, including Google Workspace and digital learning platforms
      • Ability to contribute to extracurricular and enrichment programmes

    • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme
    • Foster students` academic, social, emotional, and personal development
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
    • Implement transdisciplinary units of inquiry and promote student agency
    • Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative strategies
    • Maintain effective communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership
    • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs
    • Participate actively in curriculum development, school events, and professional learning
    • Contribute to the school`s co-curricular and community engagement initiatives
    • For Trainee Teachers:
      • Work under the guidance of experienced mentors
      • Support classroom instruction and student learning
      • Participate in structured professional development and training programmes
