Key Responsibilities:• Inspect contractors' civil works on site to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements, and flag any deviations immediately.
• Act as the PMC/client's on-site representative, ensuring contractors follow the approved project procedures, safety standards, and execution sequence.
• Assess workmanship and material quality, and formally report defects, non-conformances, and quality issues to the Project Manager/Resident Engineer with supporting evidence.
• Track contractor progress against the approved baseline schedule, identifying delays, resource constraints, and emerging risks before they escalate.
• Cross-check construction drawings against actual site conditions, escalating discrepancies to the design/engineering team for clarification or revision.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve site-level technical or coordination issues without delaying works.
• Enforce HSE compliance on site and escalate unsafe practices or conditions to PMC management and the HSE team without delay.
• Maintain accurate project records daily site reports, inspection requests, observation logs, progress photographs, and snag lists for audit and handover purposes.
• Oversee testing, rectification, and snagging through to final handover, and brief the Project Manager on outstanding items, quality status, and residual risks.
