In this hands-on role, you will be the frontline expert for our Distributed Control System (DCS) and Quality Control System (QCS), ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and precision of our papermaking process. Your work will directly impact product quality, operational uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on DCS (e.g., Valmet) and QCS (e.g., Valmet) hardware and software components.
Process Optimization:
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot process control issues, and implement minor loop tuning and adjustments to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve sheet quality (basis weight, moisture, caliper, ash).
Technical Support:
Provide immediate response to operational calls related to automation, drives, sensors (scanning platforms, actuators, moisture gauges, basis weight sensors), and instrumentation.
Project Support:
Assist engineers in the installation, commissioning, and upgrade of automation systems, including hardware wiring, network configuration, and software deployment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of changes, calibrations, maintenance activities, and system configurations.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all plant safety, environmental, and operational standards, including LOTO procedures. Promote a culture of safety-first in all activities
