  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in finance or accounting is preferred.
  • Experience in consortium coordination and preparing merged financial reports is highly desirable.
  • Experience in organising field visits and managing logistics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Responsibilities : Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multidisciplinary academic institute, which promotes global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training and advocacy. CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global concerns and issues, including fragility, conflict and violence. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Finance Officer to support the financial and logistical management of Project PAHELA: Peace and Harmony Enhancement through Learning and Assessment.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Finance Officer will manage all financial aspects of the PAHELA project, ensuring adherence to organisational policies and donor requirements. The role includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, monitoring budgets, coordinating with consortium partners, and supporting the project team with logistics for field visits and events. The position is essential for ensuring sound financial practices and smooth project implementation.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate records of all project financial transactions.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring expenditures align with approved allocations.
  • Process payments, reimbursements, and other disbursements in a timely manner in coordination with BRAC University's central Finance and Accounts department.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for project management and donors.
  • Ensure compliance with donor regulations and organisational financial policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with the consortium partner to consolidate financial documents and data.
  • Ensure accurate merging of financial reports from both organisations for donor submissions.
  • Maintain clear communication and documentation to facilitate transparency and joint accountability.
  • Organise project field visits, including transportation, accommodation, and allowances for staff and participants.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of project-related materials and supplies.
  • Maintain records of logistics and ensure smooth execution of project events, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Assist project staff with planning and implementation of activities in the field, ensuring financial and logistical aspects are managed effectively.
  • Liaise with vendors, consultants, and service providers regarding financial and logistical matters.
  • Maintain proper filing of all financial and logistical documents and vouchers.
  • Provide guidance to project staff on financial procedures, budgets, and compliance requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required by CPJ management.
