Experience:
Minimum 25 years of professional experience in electrical systems, preferably in water supply, utility services, or industrial plant operations.
Proven experience in pump operation & maintenance, grid connection, and power system management.

Each water grid covers around 80 households in rural and peri-urban locations. Our grids are technically simple in design and materials are locally sourced. By providing safe domestic water, Max Tap Water reduces the incidence of water-borne diseases in families and reduces the burden of water collection especially for women and girls. Max Social Enterprise Ltd. is seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Engineer (EEE) to support & assess our water grids in Barisal, Barguna, Patuakhali, Golachipa, Bakerganj in the Patuakhali region. This is a one-month-long part-time position requiring on-site inspection for general engineering assessment and evaluation.Role Description: This is a part time contractual position in Dhaka. The Senior Engineer (EEE) will be responsible for assessing, maintaining, and supporting the operation of water grid systems across the Barishal region. The role ensures continuous functionality, efficiency, and safety of electrical and electro-mechanical systems in MSE’s piped water supply schemes, contributing to reliable and sustainable water service delivery for communities.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and mentor field staff (Engineers) technical assessments of existing water grid infrastructures (pumps, motors, electrical panels, power supply systems, meters, and controls).
Provide expert guidance on design, installation, and commissioning of new electrical systems for water grids.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for pumps, motors, and electrical distribution systems.
Provide training to field staff how to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards in all installations.
Monitor performance indicators such as water grid uptime, energy efficiency, and operational reliability
Provide on the job training to operators and field technicians on operation, safety, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Supervise installation works carried out by contractors/vendors and certify quality compliance.
Explore energy efficiency and renewable energy options (e.g., solar-powered pumps) to optimize water supply operations.
Introduce innovative solutions to reduce downtime, enhance grid resilience, and minimize operating costs
Work closely with the Operations Manager and field teams to ensure smooth functioning of water grids.
Prepare technical reports, inspection notes, and recommendations for management.
Coordinate with local authorities, service providers, and vendors for technical support.
