Role Overview:The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of Apon Family Mart stores and the Pharmacy departments. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and profitability. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to deliver business results while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction, team development, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:1. Operations Management
Lead and oversee the daily operations of Family Mart stores and Pharmacy departments, ensuring all stores meet organizational standards for performance, customer service, and profitability.
Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the smooth functioning of the stores and pharmacy.
Ensure optimal stock levels in both retail and pharmacy categories by closely monitoring inventory, liaising with suppliers, and implementing efficient restocking processes.
Maintain operational systems that ensure efficient workflow, high product availability, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales targets, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction, and employee performance.
2. Budgeting and Cost Management
Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring alignment with company financial goals.
Identify opportunities to optimize cost efficiencies while maintaining high-quality service standards across all operations.
Implement cost-control initiatives, monitor expenditure, and ensure operational profitability.
3. Team Leadership and Development
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of store managers, pharmacy staff, and operational personnel.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all departments.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to build a high-performing team that delivers excellence in customer service.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees, ensuring that they are aligned with company objectives.
4. Customer Experience and Satisfaction
Ensure a high level of customer service at all levels of operation, from in-store shopping to pharmacy consultation.
Monitor customer feedback, resolve complaints, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Develop strategies to enhance the customer shopping experience, both in-store and online (if applicable).
5. Compliance and Quality Control
Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, particularly in the pharmacy segment (e.g., pharmaceutical laws, health & safety).
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet company standards and are safe for consumer use.
Oversee audits, inspections, and certifications for both Family Mart stores and Pharmacy operations.
6. Strategic Planning and Reporting
Work closely with the senior leadership team to align operational strategy with overall business goals.
Lead the development and execution of short-term and long-term operational plans for Family Mart & Pharmacy.
Prepare and present regular operational reports, highlighting performance metrics, progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
7. Supply Chain and Vendor Management
Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, consistency, and pricing that meet operational requirements.
Manage the logistics and supply chain aspects of both retail and pharmacy operations.
8. Technology and Innovation
Leverage technology to improve operational efficiency (e.g., inventory management systems, point of sale systems, customer feedback tools).
Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements that can enhance operational performance and customer experience.
