We are launching a new, state-of-the-art Beef Fattening project in Taraganj, Rangpur. We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead this initiative from the ground up.Role Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Project Manager with extensive proven experience in commercial beef fattening operations. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the complete responsibility of establishing and subsequently managing the entire beef fattening unit. This includes strategic planning, daily operations, cowherd health and nutrition management, and achieving production and financial targets. The role requires a leader who can work independently and make critical decisions on-site.Responsibilities:Project Establishment & Setup:
Lead the setup and commissioning of all project infrastructure, including cattle sheds, feed storage, water systems, and waste management facilities.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of the operation.
Source and select high-quality feeder cattle for the program.
Operational Management:
Oversee the day-to-day management of the beef fattening unit, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, health, and biosecurity.
Develop and manage precise feeding regimens and rations to optimise growth rates, feed conversion efficiency (FCR), and final carcass quality.
Manage herd health through preventative vaccination programs, disease diagnosis, and treatment in coordination with a veterinarian.
Team Leadership & Training:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of farm assistants and workers.
Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure all protocols are followed diligently.
Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Administrative Oversight:
Develop and manage the operational budget, controlling costs for feed, veterinary care, labour, and other inputs.
Maintain meticulous records of animal performance, health, inventory, and financial transactions.
Analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as average daily gain (ADG), mortality rate, and cost per kg of weight gain.
Supply Chain & Marketing:
Manage the procurement of feed, supplements, medicines, and other supplies.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, veterinarians, and potential buyers for finished cattle.
