Responsibilities
:
1. Clinical Care & Patient Management:
Perform thorough medical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and differential diagnosis.
Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with established guidelines.
Provide emergency medical care and stabilize patients as required.
Conduct routine health screenings and preventive care consultations.
2. Supervision & Clinical Leadership:
Provide clinical guidance, supervision, and support to nurses, laboratory technologists and other healthcare staff.
Lead or participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and case reviews.
Act as a senior clinical resource for complex medical cases.
3. Administrative & Operational Duties:
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, protocols, and accreditation standards.
Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
Assist in managing clinic flow, patient scheduling, and resource allocation.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and risk management activities.
4. Coordination & Collaboration:
Liaise and collaborate with doctors, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses with empathy and clarity.
Serve as a link between clinical staff and senior management.
