Responsibilities

A leading 1st Generation Non-Life Insurance Company in Bangladesh is looking for a dynamic, experienced and strategic HR professional for the following position.Job PurposeThe Head of Human Resources & Administration will lead the Company's HR and administrative functions and develop and implement strategic people-management initiatives aligned with the Company's business objectives and long-term growth.The incumbent will be responsible for HR strategy, talent acquisition, performance management, employee development, succession planning, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR governance, administrative operations, regulatory compliance and organizational development.The position will also oversee relevant licensing, regulatory and administrative matters and work closely with the Board, senior management, departmental heads and regulatory authorities.Key Responsibilities• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Company's overall business goals and long-term growth objectives.
• Manage day-to-day HR and administrative activities of the Company.
• Lead manpower planning, recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management and employee retention initiatives.
• Manage Bdjobs postings, candidate screening, recruitment documentation and recruitment-related file processing.
• Develop, implement and monitor an effective Performance Management System (PMS) incorporating KPIs, KRAs and periodic performance evaluations.
• Set and review KPIs/KRAs for employees in coordination with departmental heads.
• Conduct Employee Performance Analysis, including performance evaluation and management reporting.
• Conduct Marketing Employees' Performance Analysis and prepare performance reports for management review.
• Conduct Branch Performance Analysis and identify areas for performance improvement.
• Handle increment and promotion proposals, documentation and filing in accordance with Company policy.
• Establish effective systems for workforce planning, succession planning and development of an internal talent pipeline.
• Identify training and development needs and implement appropriate learning and development programs.
• Develop employee engagement, career progression and organizational development initiatives.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances and workplace issues fairly and professionally.
• Review and update HR policies, service rules, SOPs, procedures and employee-related guidelines.
• Ensure all HR operations comply with the Bangladesh Labour Act, applicable employment laws, IDRA regulations and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintain sound knowledge of labour laws, insurance regulations and applicable financial/compliance frameworks.
• Manage compensation and benefits structures, HR budgeting and payroll oversight.
• Oversee attendance, leave, employee records, benefits and other HR operations.
• Maintain proper confidentiality and security of employee information and HR records.
• Regulatory, Licensing & Administrative Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage matters related to the Department of Factories and Establishments.
• Manage Trade License applications, renewals and approvals.
• Coordinate IDRA Branch Approval and related documentation and compliance requirements.
• Manage Company Licensing and regulatory requirements with IDRA.
• Coordinate and process Group Insurance matters.
• Prepare the Company's annual calendar and manage related vendors and service providers.
• Supervise administrative operations including facilities management, logistics, procurement and office services.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of administrative services.
• Monitor and coordinate legal cases related to recovery of outstanding dues, including follow-up with relevant departments and legal representatives.
• Coordinate HR and administrative requirements across Head Office and Branch Offices and ensure consistent implementation of Company policies.
• Management & Governance
• Support senior management and the Board on HR-related matters, organizational restructuring, manpower planning and organizational development initiatives.
• Work closely with departmental heads to address people-management and organizational issues.
• Prepare HR reports, manpower analytics, employee performance reports, turnover analysis, training reports and other management information for senior management and the Board.
• Develop strong HR information systems and HR analytics to support management decision-making.
• Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills when dealing with Board Members, Executive Committees, senior management and regulatory auditors.
• Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, professionalism, teamwork, discipline and ethical standards across the organization.
• Support management in maintaining a positive, disciplined and productive workplace environment.
• Perform any other HR, Administration or related responsibilities assigned by the competent authority.
