Responsibilities
:
The Head of SCM & Production is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of supply chain and production activities including forecasting, procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, manufacturing, and logistics. The role ensures synchronization among Business Development, Procurement, Production, and Delivery teams to meet customer demand with optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards. This leadership role also emphasizes regulatory compliance, ERP system usage, and strategic performance monitoring across supply chain and production functions.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team by setting strategic goals for each member, developing SCM functions and formulations, and providing necessary training to ensure individual and departmental performance targets are achieved.
Collect sales forecasts from the Business Development team, analyze future trends, review and validate the forecasts, and identify any gaps between actual sales and forecasted figures.
Prepare the purchase forecast and budget based on the approved sales forecast, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials (both local and imported) to meet production requirements.
Approve raw material purchases ensuring value for money (VFM) by considering current inventory levels and future demand.
Ensure that warehouse and inventory management practices comply with company policy, including proper storage, handling, and documentation.
Oversee daily inventory transactions and entries, ensuring they are completed accurately and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Monitor and ensure adherence to delivery lead times following order confirmations from the Business Development team.
Ensure compliance with VAT requirements and other legal obligations in line with current government rules and regulations.
Conduct regular monitoring of stock levels across all warehouses to ensure alignment with inventory control standards and quality control (QC) policies.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with all internal departments and external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory authorities.
Provide periodic reports to management covering key areas such as sales, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory, and overall supply chain performance.
Maintain and update ERP systems with all relevant procurement, inventory, and supply chain data to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
Maintain and update all ISO-related documentation as per compliance standards and ensure readiness for audits and reviews.
Ensure that production is executed efficiently and timely as per the approved sales forecast and raw material availability, maintaining alignment with overall supply chain objectives
