  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in community development, livelihood improvement, CSA, poultry and livestock, aquaculture preferably in rural or agricultural contexts.
  • Practical knowledge of climate-smart agriculture, cooperative development, and community mobilization.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in local language(s) and familiarity with the project area are highly desirable.

    Responsibilities : Organization Name: Jagrata Juba Shangha (JJS)Position: Field Facilitator (FF)Employment Status: ContractualDuration: Up to December, 2026 (Depending on the availability of donor fund)Job Location: Mohrajpur union of Koyra UpazilaJob Context: Jagrata Juba Shanga (JJS) in partnership with Concern Worldwide is implementing a project namely “Enhancing Resilience of Coastal Communities ERCC-II and Improving Income of Extreme Poor Households in Khulna District of Bangladesh” with the financial support of KOICA. The duration of the project is 29 February 2024 to 31 December 2026. This project aims to work with communities in climate change and disaster-prone areas with the ultimate goal of contribute to the reduction of poverty and empowerment of people living in extreme poverty in coastal region (Khulna District) by enhancing the resilience of households living in poverty and extreme poverty and communities exposed to the risks of climate change in the coastal regions of Bangladesh. The project is working to enhance the livelihood resilience capacity of the people living in poverty, who are vulnerable to climate change and natural disaster through introducing climate-smart agriculture practices, improving access to safe drinking water, and providing support to DRR and CCA.The overall objective of the project will be achieved through sets of interventions as outlined below under each of the outcomes of the programme logic.
  • Women Farmers living in extreme poverty increase their income through enhanced climate-smart farming capacity: Women farmers will have better knowledge and skills on climate-smart agriculture, livestock and aquaculture farming. They will have better market competitiveness through cooperative action and have better access to finance.
  • Household living in extreme poverty enhance their basic living conditions: Households living in extreme poverty meet the basic needs of living and have better access to drinking and farming water.
  • Strengthening the community climate change adaptation and preparedness system: Community enhance preparedness to natural disaster and Local government enhance resilience capacity to climate change.
  • JJS intends to hire a competent “Field Facilitator” for Enhancing Resilience of Coastal Communities (ERCC-II) for Koyra or Dacope Upazila to implement the program properly. The Field Facilitator played a role under the supervision of Upazila Coordinator of this Project.Job Responsibilities:Capacity Building and Training
  • Facilitate training sessions for women farmers on climate-smart agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture farming techniques.
  • Support the formation and strengthening of women farmer groups and cooperatives to increase collective bargaining power and market competitiveness.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure practical application of improved farming methods.
  • Livelihoods and Income Generation
  • Assist women farmers and households in identifying income-generating opportunities aligned with climate-resilient practices.
  • Support access to microfinance institutions or community savings groups to enable investment in farming and small businesses.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to improve productivity and sustainability.
  • Water Access and Basic Needs Support
  • Work with local communities to identify and address challenges related to access to clean drinking and farming water.
  • Facilitate community participation in initiatives to improve basic living conditions for extremely poor households.
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders to implement water access solutions (e.g., wells, rainwater harvesting, irrigation systems).
  • Community Climate Resilience
  • Mobilize communities to develop and implement climate change adaptation and disaster preparedness plans.
  • Collaborate with local governments to strengthen institutional resilience and response systems.
  • Facilitate awareness campaigns and training on climate change impacts and adaptation strategies.
  • Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, participants, and progress indicators.
  • Contribute to regular reporting, including success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Participate in evaluations and assessments to inform program improvements.
