Graduate in Apparel Merchandising, Textile Technology or equivalent from a well reputed institution

Experience Requirements
At least 5-7 years’ merchandising experience in a reputed buying office or factory in Sweaters
Must have extensive experience of product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and order execution
Candidates should have experience in handling American Retailers and Brands
Technical Job Requirements
Profound knowledge of Sweater garment engineering and production processes is required
Have sound knowledge of yarns and an excellent network of yarn, print, embroidery & trims suppliers
Should be able to source and develop new products independently
Should have excellent understanding of Sweater technical / production process
Should have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/details and fits.
Must be capable to handle buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude
Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures
Good understanding of core business aspects
Should have the ability to effectively communicate for raw materials, booking and delivery

We are currently hiring for the position of Senior Merchandiser/Merchandiser (Sweater) at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. Join our family and build an inspired career you’re proud of.
Job Context
The Senior Merchandiser/Merchandiser holds the accountability for managing the customer accounts from product development and sampling stage till shipment and payment realization, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure all customer emails are answered within 24hrs and all actions have been taken promptly
Analyze customer progress reports in terms of growth/shortcomings/product and price points, get customer feedback on orders and close the orders with clarity on cost/ margin
Review new tech packs and developments to identify any critical points and provide the right details to the factory
Suggest the right factory for the right product and participate in the factory selection process from sample stage
Take the list of daily issues from each order for each factory and address the problems
Ensure quick decision making by involving the Team Manager / Quality Manager on critical issues
Take the lead on Pre-production meetings
Ensure all customer requirements are met in production based on customer tech packs
Recommend any changes to the products or process improvements, which can help make production friendlier for knitting/linking/construction without changing the aesthetics of the garment
Check the production/QC files is complete prior handing over to the QA department
Conduct production meetings with the factories and QA team as per the allocated time and follow up with the factories on the progress of the orders
Book production space with factories in advance and maintain capacity utilization chart which is to be updated at all times
Select and visit different production, printing, and embroidery factories and build long-term relationships for future orders
Evaluate factory performance regularly, give feedback to the Team Manager concerning factory issues and recommending solutions
Source and develop new factories as per requirements and regularly introduce new products, new yarns, new factories to the team
Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
