Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in gender equality and inclusion programming/ PSEA/ Safeguarding/ GBV and or Protection programming preferably in humanitarian or child protection projects.
Demonstrated expertise in gender-transformative approaches, gender analysis, and adolescent programming.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and ethical principles in working with children and vulnerable populations.
Proven experience in facilitating gender training and conducting community-based gender awareness work.
Experience working with or for local or national NGOs, ideally in partnership with international organizations like Plan International.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with sensitivity to cultural and gender dynamics.
Experience working in food security or CPiE (Child Protection in Emergencies) contexts.

Coordinate and ensure the integration of minimum standards on gender mainstreaming across all stages of the project cycle, in alignment with organizational and donor guidelines.
Support the effective implementation of gender components within all project activities and ensure alignment with the project's gender action plan.
Ensure that all program interventions are delivered with cultural sensitivity, while promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and the meaningful participation of marginalized groups, including adolescent girls and boys.
Serve as the project’s Gender Focal Point, advocating for gender equality, advising staff on gender-sensitive approaches, and supporting capacity building for professional teams.
Lead and coordinate the development, implementation, and periodic review of the project’s Gender Action Plan, ensuring accountability to gender outcomes.
Design and implement advocacy initiatives and campaigns to promote gender equality, equity, and the empowerment of women, girls, and other vulnerable groups within the project context.
Coordinate and facilitate gender mainstreaming activities within the organization, promoting awareness of gender issues, tracking progress, and contributing to the achievement of gender-related targets.
Organize and deliver safeguarding and protection training and awareness sessions for project staff, volunteers, implementing partners, and other key stakeholders.
Support the application of safer recruitment practices for staff and volunteers in alignment with Plan International and BITA’s safeguarding policies.
Establish, maintain, and monitor safe and confidential safeguarding reporting channels, ensuring they are accessible and functional for children, adolescents, and community members.
Develop, implement, and regularly update the Safeguarding Action Plan for the JF-FS & CPiE project, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and donor requirements.
Prepare, review, and monitor safeguarding and gender-related risk assessments and management plans across project activities and sites.
Manage safeguarding and PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) concerns and cases, ensuring appropriate case management and documentation in line with organizational protocols.
Respond promptly to safeguarding and PSEA concerns, ensuring a survivor-centered approach and timely referral and resolution in coordination with appropriate services.
Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites, provide technical guidance, and document findings through structured reports and recommendations.
Facilitate community consultations with children and other program participants, ensuring that feedback informs about gender-sensitive and child-safe programming.
Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate documentation for all safeguarding and PSEA cases in secure information management systems.
Collaborate closely with the central safeguarding focal point and Plan International Bangladesh’s Safeguarding Unit to plan and deliver safeguarding capacity building initiatives.
Represent the organization in relevant coordination forums, including child protection, safeguarding, PSEA, and gender sub-sector meetings at local or national levels.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, including areas with security constraints or challenging living conditions.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, in support of safeguarding, gender, or overall project goals.
