Minimum 5 years of working experience in community-led innovation in the context of climate justice & adaptation/ resilience.

Familiar with the bio-physical and socio-economic conditions of the ecologically critical areas in Barind tract areas.
Experience in developing and implementing the Market-Based Approach (MBA) to address and mitigate climate change challenges.
Skills in project cycle management – planning, budgeting, technical and financial oversight.
Good understanding of issues of climate change adaptation; gender equity, protection and multicultural intervention.
Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving capacity.
Ability to manage stress, multi-task and take decisions.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. As partnership with Water Aid Bangladesh, ESDO is implementing the GO4IMPact Project supporting local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision in Bangladesh at Naogaon District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Job Responsibilities
Coordination and collaboration with local government & stakeholders;
Facilitate and frame the strategic direction of the project in collaboration with the line manager
Collaboratively plan and implement project activities through the preparation of multiyear and annual work plans in collaboration with the field team colleagues
Ensure the application of market system approach and closely work with market actors specific to selected value chains and business groups/actors
Manage the contracting cycle and the required project documentation.
Actively engage in initiating best practices, key learnings, unique cases, and other relevant documentation to share with the broader team
Support the MEL team to conduct baseline, mid-line and end-line surveys and evaluations, scoping studies, process and periodical monitoring assessment tools and checklists from a climate-adaptive local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision point of view.
Support the MERL in data quality control and timely entry of project data into the relevant database
Assist the project manager in the development of project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, scope statements and project plans
Managing budgets, coordinating staff, monitoring programme outcomes and engaging with community leaders.
Meeting with project clients to assess their needs and define project requirements, acceptance criteria and project timelines
Overall, s/he will ensure proper and timely implementation of supporting local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision in Bangladesh to strengthen the adaptive capacity and climate resilience of vulnerable groups in the ecologically critical areas in Naogaon district.
