Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. It also contributes to achieving the relevant Sustainable Development Goals. The organization has been implementing various programs to prevent child abuse and child marriage, empowering children and women, creating opportunities for children to participate in the decision-making process of local government and strengthening the social accountability process. Moreover, in response to any natural and social disaster, the development partner in collaboration with the government as a partner in the program. BTS ensures the involvement of children and women from the disabled and disadvantaged communities in all programs. The organization has been facilitated national-level advocacy initiatives to scale up the good practices and models all over the country and contribute to review or formulate new laws and policies regarding child and women rights.

Good knowledge of safeguarding, MHM, and gender-sensitive programming.
Strong coordination, facilitation, and communication skills.
Fluency in English and Bangla; Rohingya language skills an asset.

The organization is going to implement a project named ‘BGD SwS Strengthening Protection, Well-Being and Resilience of Adolescent Against Gender- Based Violence and Child Marriage in Rohingya Camp and Host Communities of Cox’s Bazar” at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar districts. The project will be implemented by the support of SCI. BTS is going to recruit a ‘Project Coordinator ’ for the mentioned project the position’s desk office will be at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar District.Project Name : BGD SwS Strenthening Protection, Well-Being and Resilince of Adolescent Against Gender- Based Violenceand Child Marriage in Rohingya Camp and Host Communities of Cox’s Bazar”Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, supervision, and reporting of adolescent-focused life skills, protection, and GBV prevention activities in Rohingya and host communities. The position will ensure quality delivery of partner-led activities, coordination with stakeholders, and capacity building of community structures.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Coordination
Develop and implement a detailed activity plan in line with the project framework and donor requirements.
Good relation and Coordination with CIC, UNO, UP Chirman and others stakeholder.
Project Need assessment prepare and submit to the CIC and UNO Office as per need
Coordinate and supervise the rollout of the following activities through partners:
Life Skills and Protective Behavior training
Girl Decide module sessions (ToT and adolescent sessions)
Structured PSS sessions using the Resilience Package
Engaging Boys and Men sessions on GBV Prevention
GFS-based alternative skill training (sewing, handicraft, literacy etc.)
Distribution of Dignity and MHM kits
Capacity Building and Support
Facilitate partner staff training and capacity development on child protection, GBV, MHM, and youth engagement.
Support the formation and functionality of Community-Based Mechanisms (CBM), Parents’ Groups, and Youth Clubs.
Guide the partners in implementing adolescent and youth-led initiatives (campaigns, street shows, IPT/puppet/video shows).
Community Engagement and Awareness
Organize and support sensitization events on Child Marriage and GBV prevention in both Rohingya and Host communities.
Ensure engagement of community volunteers from both communities for outreach and prevention efforts.
Monitor the implementation of theatre shows and other awareness methods by girl groups.
Logistics and Operations
Oversee partner needs for transportation, field movements, and outreach materials.
Coordinate timely procurement and distribution of printed materials, kits, and supplies.
Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation
Track progress against indicators and regularly report to the Program manager.
Ensure proper documentation of activities including success stories, photos, and attendance records.
Conduct field visits to monitor quality and impact of interventions.
Ensure day to day activites budget monitoing and charging.
Supportive supervation and tema working
Others
Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergencies, when needed, and any other task assigned by the Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.
Tenure of Services Contract: 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.
