B.Sc. in Bio-Medical/Electronics/Electrical-Electronics Engineering/M.Sc. in Applied Physics & Electronics. Minimum 08 (eight) years’ experience in similar job out of which at least 5 years in any reputed hospital/clinic. Experience in cardiac hospital may be preferred.

Computer literacy particularly in MS Word, Excel, Power point etc. is must.

Job Summary: The incumbent will be reporting to the Manager Engineering or any other competent authority for installation, maintenance, of all kinds of biomedical equipment, ambulance equipment, CSSD equipment, Central Gas System (compressed air, oxygen, vacuum etc.) Concern about the expiry date of agreement with different clients and report to supervisor about this matter and enthusiastically he/she will take step for renew /re-contract of agreement with client. The incumbent will communicate with Cath Lab, OT, VCT scan team, or other concern person who are working by biomedical equipment and supervise subordinate as per his/her authority. Under guidance of Manager Engineering he/she will plan for installation to ensure that the back-up systems are always ready in case of emergency. The incumbent could not go to out side of Dhaka without permission of authority and he/she always be ready to overstay in hospital. Works independently to repair all types of biomedical & electro-medical instrument, Laundry, Cardiac ambulance & CSSD equipment.
Analyzes and corrects equipment malfunctions to include: observation of front panel indicators; interpretation of block and schematic diagrams; utilization of appropriate test equipment; replacement of components, PC boards, or subsystems as appropriate.
Performs electrical safety inspections. verifies, calibrates and certifies proper operation of all biomedical equipment in assigned facilities.
Restores equipment to manufacturers’ specifications.
Works with clinical personnel to correct operator based problems.
Uses knowledge and experience to test and maintain biomedical instrumentation not having specific maintenance procedures.
Receives new equipment/systems and coordinates assembly/installation.
Performs initial electrical safety inspections and assurance testing.
Performs miscellaneous duties in support of the Biomedical Maintenance Program including, but not limited to: project management; property accountability; incident reporting; supply management; maintenance of shop operations; medical equipment safety; capital review; technology assessment etc.
Assists in developing and maintaining a comprehensive and cost-effective Medical Equipment Management Program.
Employs computer skills to complete job. Uses word processing, spreadsheets, databases and similar programs to enhance job performance.
Ensures compliance with all local rules and regulations and all applicable policies and procedures governing Biomedical Engineering operations.
Provides update summaries/reports of all engineering activities to the authority.
