Project Name: ‘‘Health System Strengthening at Government Health Facilities at Cox’s Bazar’’Reportable to: UH&FPO – Ukhiya and Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar Monitoring & Technical Assistants: PHD in collaboration with IOM will deploy a group of staff led by Team Leader for round-the-clock monitoring and technical support. This may include spot check, review of performance reports and assessing technical competency.Accountable to: As an appointing authority, you will be accountable to PHD for legal and disciplinary procedures for which PHD will review your performances periodically. Team Leader of this project and senior officials will represent PHD.Job Objective:The Nurse will be recruited as a part of human resource support under the joint collaboration between PHD and IOM to enhance access, quality and utilization of essential health, nutrition and GBV services in Ukhiya and Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The Nurse will be responsible to deliver accessible, quality primary healthcare—including preventive, promotive, curative, and referral services. This Position involves maternal, neonatal and child care (MNCH), emergency obstetric services, health education, immunization support, and effective record‑keeping at respective facility. Responsibilities:The Nurse will undertake the following tasks in the respective department assigned by the hospital authority, not limited to:
Work as a Duty Nurse in managing neonatal, gynecological and obstetric cases - across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. Especially those will be referred from the Community in the indoor and ANC/PNC Services at the respective facilities.
Assist the doctors in minor surgical procedures.
Provide nursing care to the patients and performing roster duties as and when needed.
Assist in NVD & others OB/GYN-related patients.
Maintain infection prevention and control (IPC) standards across all service areas.
Assist Medical Doctor in conducting health examination including history taking, measurement, treatment plans, medicine management and dispensing.
Provide support to keep patient’s treatment and other documentation.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports, including those required for donor and government reporting other requests for information as required.
Provide support to manage supply and stock in warehouse, maternity ward, emergency to avoid stock out situations.
Active engagement with referral and management of transportation for the patients to higher facilities with proper documentation as per required
Coordinate with data entry operators to collect medical information and other details into DHIS2 with maintaining confidentiality.
Perform such other relevant duties assign by the respective authority.
Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective facilities.
