Experience in emergency health activities for migrants, refugee and displaced persons will be an added value.
Experience in working with national and international health agencies will be an added value.
Knowledge and experience with working in field Hospitals, public health sector, medical emergencies will be advantageous.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Working experience in public health facilities under World Bank supported Health and Gender Support Program will be preferred

Project Name: ‘‘Health System Strengthening at Government Health Facilities at Cox’s Bazar’’Reportable to: UH&FPO of Ukhiya Health Complex, Cox’s Bazar Monitoring & Technical Assistants: PHD in collaboration with IOM will deploy a group of staff led by Team Leader for round-the-clock monitoring and technical support. This may include spot check, review of performance reports and assessing technical competency.Accountable to: As an appointing authority, you will be accountable to PHD for legal and disciplinary procedures for which PHD will review your performances periodically. Team Leader of this project and senior officials will represent PHD.Job Objective:The Physiotherapist will be recruited as a part of human resource support under the joint collaboration between PHD and IOM to enhance access, quality and utilization of essential health, nutrition and GBV services in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. The Physiotherapist will be responsible to deliver community-focused rehabilitative care—assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with movement or functional limitations through evidence-based interventions, home visits, health education, referral coordination, and support for community-based rehabilitation—while maintaining records and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities:The Physiotherapist will undertake the following tasks in the respective department assigned by the hospital authority, not limited to:
Facilitate the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and therapy of patients who suffer from physical challenges caused by illnesses, injury, disability or aging.
Assist in planning and organizing physiotherapy and palliative care activities
Referral of patients to medical doctors or other facilities as per GoB referral guideline
Facilitate physiotherapy through the provision of health facility-based services and home visits in Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazillas in Cox’s Bazar
Data collection and reporting as per standard template and requirements
Participate in periodic coordination and team meetings at facility, Upazila and district level
Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective Upazila Health Complex (UHC)
