Educational Requirement
:
BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.Must have achieved at least three First Class/Division/A Grades (with a GPA not less than 3.5 at the undergraduate level) throughout their academic career.Preference will be given to candidates holding an MPhil or PhD degree.
Other Requirement
:
Candidates with university-level teaching experience (minimum one year) will be given preference.

Subject Areas: Civil Engineering (CE)
Position Description: BAIUST invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and committed individuals for the position of Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering (CE). The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and service to both the university and the broader academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate Civil Engineering courses, with a strong focus on foundational subjects to meet the curricular standards and academic goals of the university.
Conduct and support specialized courses such as Hydrology and Irrigation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Open Channel Flow, and their corresponding sessional/laboratory components.
Contribute to the ongoing review, evaluation, and improvement of academic programs within the department, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
Engage in the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies that address diverse learning styles and foster academic excellence among students.
Participate in academic advising, mentoring, and support services to promote student success and retention.
Conduct assessments of student performance through examinations, assignments, and other evaluative tools, and provide timely, constructive feedback in accordance with university policies.
Support departmental and university-level initiatives, including student activities, outreach programs, and collaborative research where applicable.
Undertake any other academic or administrative duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or university authority, in line with institutional objectives.
