Ashrai is an Anthropological research outcome of its present founder Director Dr. Ahsan Ali. He identified some acute problems faced by the tribal people during conducting a formal research for his Ph.D degree. To address those problems, Ashrai was founded in 1990.
Ashrai is a not-for-profit non-government organization (NGO) devoted to poverty alleviation and realization of human rights and dignity of the oppressed people; especially the women and the minor Adivasi communities. Ashrai always shows highest respect to human dignity and rights.

Educational Requirement

Other Requirement

At least 2–3 years of experience in PR, communications, or media—preferably in a development, microfinance, or nonprofit setting.
Excellent writing and content creation skills in both Bangla and English.
Proven experience in social media management and web content editing (WordPress or similar CMS).
Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

Position SummaryAshrai is seeking a dynamic and creative Public Relations (PR) Officer to strengthen its visibility, brand image, and communication with stakeholders. The PR Officer will be responsible for managing all public relations activities, including creating compelling social media content, updating the organizational website, writing press releases, and developing strategic communications to support Ashrai’s mission in microfinance and community development.Responsibilities:Public Relations & Content Development
Develop and execute PR strategies to enhance Ashrai’s public image.
Draft and distribute press releases, articles, and newsletters to media and stakeholders.
Build relationships with local media and press to gain coverage of Ashrai’s activities.
Prepare speeches, talking points, and internal memos for senior leadership as needed.
Social Media Management
Create engaging content (text, image, video) for Ashrai’s Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
Plan and schedule weekly/monthly social media posts across departments and projects.
Monitor social media analytics and audience engagement; adapt strategies accordingly.
Website and Digital Communication
Regularly update Ashrai’s website with project highlights, organizational news, success stories, and media coverage.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure a user-friendly and up-to-date website.
Ensure digital communication materials are consistent with the brand and mission.
Internal Communications
Support internal communication by preparing updates, reports, or notices for staff and partners.
Assist in coordinating events, donor visits, and field campaigns with proper media documentation.
Brand and Reputation Management
Maintain brand guidelines in all communications and promotional materials.
Proactively manage Ashrai’s image and reputation in the community and among partners.
