Other Requirement :
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in field coordination or community development work
  • Experience working with grassroots communities, especially women or youth
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage teams and multitask
  • Fluent in Bangla (spoken and written); basic English preferred
  • Familiar with local context and culture of the assigned area

    Responsibilities : Workplace: Ashulia Branch OfficeThe Bangladesh Centre for Worker Solidarity (BCWS) is a prominent labor rights advocacy organization based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The aim of the organization is to empower and support garment workers who are seeking decent working conditions and to advocate domestically and internationally for greater respect for labor rights and fighting for workers’ rights and job with dignity. BCWS especially emphasizes the rights of women workers, gender equality, participation of women workers in bargaining and protecting the human rights of women and children. BCWS was founded in 2000.Job Summary:The Center Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the organization branch office. This includes overseeing program implementation, supervising field staff, maintaining communication with the head office, and ensuring effective service delivery to the target communities. The role also involves administrative, financial, and reporting responsibilities at the branch level.Responsibilities:Program Coordination and Implementation
  • Plan, supervise, and monitor daily program activities in the branch area
  • Ensure that organization activities are implemented on time and as per guidelines
  • Support workers community mobilization and outreach efforts
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders and authorities
  • Staff Supervision and Support
  • Lead and supervise field staff, workers leaders, and facilitators
  • Conduct regular team meetings and monitor performance
  • Identify staff capacity-building needs and report to head office
  • Administration and Logistics
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the branch office
  • Maintain attendance records, meeting minutes, and office supplies
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and functional office environment
  • Financial Management (at branch level)
  • Manage petty cash and keep records of expenses
  • Ensure accurate documentation of financial transactions
  • Submit financial reports and bills to the central finance team regularly
  • Reporting and Communication
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports to the head office
  • Maintain regular communication with program and management teams
  • Document field challenges, case stories, and community feedback
  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build relationships with local leaders, government offices, and partners
  • Represent the NGO in local meetings, forums, and events
  • Ensure that workers community voices are heard and reflected in program planning
