Proven experience in budgeting, fundraising, investment planning, and cash flow management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MIS, and accounting software (ERP/Oracle/SAP preferred)
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (mandatory); other languages are a plus
Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial operations,
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CFO/Finance Director)
Experience in RMG, FMCG, retail, or large-scale manufacturing organizations is highly preferred
Exposure to companies with annual turnover of USD 100 million or more

Responsibilities
:
Job Context: The CFO will serve as the strategic financial advisor to the Board and senior management, responsible for leading the entire financial ecosystem of the group, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, audits, taxation, financial planning, risk management, and fundraising initiatives. The CFO will also drive strategic planning and execute revenue-enhancing, cost-saving, and funding diversification programs across the group.Job Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives across multiple business units (RMG, FMCG, Retail etc.).
Provide regular financial analysis and reports to the Board for effective decision-making and risk mitigation.
Spearhead long-term financial planning, ROI analysis, and investment feasibility studies for new ventures.
Revenue Generation & Funding Strategy
Innovate and execute strategic plans to generate revenue through both conventional and alternative methods.
Design and implement annual and long-term funding strategies including:Bank finance and syndicated loansPreferential shares and hybrid instrumentsIPO and non-IPO routesSupplier and buyer credit models
Lead capital structuring and working capital management for diverse operations.
Compliance, Risk & Audit
Ensure full compliance with financial regulations across industries — including VAT, Tax, Customs, NBR, BEPZA, BEZA, BB, and BIDA.
Establish and oversee internal audit, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
Lead statutory and internal audits with external auditors and ensure adherence to all applicable laws.
Operational Excellence
Guide and standardize finance operations across business units to improve efficiency and accountability.
