Job Responsibilities
- Drive business development activities for pharmaceutical raw materials, excipients, APIs, nutraceutical ingredients, and allied products by identifying new opportunities and generating sustainable business growth.
- Provide technical and formulation development support to pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, R&D teams, and product management departments.
- Conduct customer visits, technical discussions, formulation reviews, and troubleshooting activities to address formulation and process-related challenges.
- Collaborate with principals and suppliers to introduce innovative ingredients, technologies, and solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, seminars, workshops, and product training programs for customers and internal teams.
- Support customers from product concept through commercialization, ensuring successful product development and market launch.
- Maintain strong relationships with key pharmaceutical accounts and provide strategic technical support to expand business opportunities.
- Coordinate product evaluations, laboratory trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities with customers and principal partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging pharmaceutical technologies to identify new business opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales, project conversion, and business growth targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM reports, highlighting potential opportunities and pipeline developments.
Requirements
- 4 to 10 years of relevant sales experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, technical services, business development, or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical dosage forms, excipients, APIs, formulation technologies, and product development processes.
- Proven experience in customer-facing technical support and business development activities within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Sound understanding of formulation troubleshooting, process optimization, and scale-up activities.
- Strong market knowledge and customer relationship management
- Basic analytical capabilities, with understanding of profit & loss analysis
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to consistent business growth and data-driven decision-making
Educational Requirement
- Master`s/Bachelor`s degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm./ M. Pharm.) or related pharmaceutical sciences.
