Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide timely and effective technical support to both field and central office staff for hardware, software, and system issues.
Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and internal communications.
Ensure security, functionality, and regular maintenance of all IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and routers.
Oversee data backup processes and ensure disaster recovery protocols are in place for sensitive program data.
Ensure smooth operation, troubleshooting, and regular updates of Microfinance MIS and reporting systems.
Monitor and maintain the security of software applications, user access control, and data privacy protocols.
Manage server configuration, updates, and ongoing maintenance (Windows/Linux environments as applicable).
Install and configure necessary software applications, including Microsoft Windows, MS Office Suite, antivirus, and accounting or MIS-related tools.
Coordinate with MIS vendors or developers for software upgrades, bug fixes, and feature enhancement as per organizational needs.
Provide training and orientation to staff on IT systems, digital literacy, and the usage of MIS and mobile data collection tools.
Maintain inventory and documentation of all IT assets and ensure asset movement is properly recorded and tracked.
Assist in the digital transformation of manual processes into efficient electronic formats wherever possible.
Regularly monitor system logs, network usage, and potential cyber security threats, taking preventive action when necessary.
Support real-time data entry, field-level digital tools, and remote troubleshooting through phone, messaging, or remote access.
Liaise with software vendors, internet service providers, and other IT-related service contractors for issue resolution and procurement.
Contribute to planning IT budgets, procurement, and standardization of systems in line with organizational and donor requirements.
Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, MRA guidelines (if applicable to digital systems), and data protection laws.
