Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) project activities at the field level.
Coordinate tubewell site selection in consultation with technical staff, community leaders, and local authorities, ensuring suitability and equitable access.
Supervise the installation of tubewells and sanitary latrines in accordance with project standards and technical guidelines.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, ensure quality of construction work, and verify beneficiary feedback.
Lead hygiene promotion activities including handwashing campaigns, hygiene education sessions, and distribution of hygiene kits.
Organize and conduct community awareness sessions on safe water use, sanitation practices, menstrual hygiene management, and waste disposal.
Coordinate with local government bodies (e.g., Union Parishads), NGOs, and community-based organizations to ensure project alignment and collaboration.
Ensure that project targets and deliverables are met on time and within budget, as per donor or organizational requirements.
Maintain detailed documentation of field activities, beneficiary data, and progress reports for internal use and external reporting.
Identify gaps, challenges, and risks during project implementation and report them to the Project Coordinator or management with appropriate recommendations.
Facilitate training programs for community members, caretakers, or schoolchildren on WASH- related behaviors and practices.
Ensure that gender, inclusion, and child safeguarding principles are integrated into all project activities.
Monitor the functionality and maintenance of installed WASH infrastructure and engage with local caretakers or user groups for sustainability.
Prepare and submit timely weekly/monthly progress reports, case studies, and success stories to the central office.
Participate in coordination meetings, project reviews, and planning sessions at both field and head office levels.
Support baseline surveys, midline assessments, and end-line evaluations in collaboration with the M&E team.
