  • Proficiency in English language will be an added advantage for the sector specialist.
  • Minimum 10 years general experience in the field as a sector specialist, or in a development program.

    Responsibilities : SAMAHAR-Multi-Disciplinary Research & Development Foundation is looking for professional Sector Specialists who possess specialized knowledge to work within a particular subject area for an organization, often providing technical support and expertise in a specific sector like Agriculture, Fisheries, IT, Automobile, Finance & Admin, Monitoring & Evaluation. Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to programs or projects within the area of expertise. Lead the development of high-quality programming, annual plans and budgeting processes.
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of programs or projects by ensuring quality and effectiveness. 
  • Contribute to advocacy efforts to promote the sector's issues and improve services.
  • Play a role in training and capacity building for staff and beneficiaries, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge for reaping the benefits in practice. 
  • Maintain the coordination efficiently with internal teams, external stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, NGOs, or local partners), and beneficiaries to ensure effective program implementation. 
  • Assist to track progress and identify areas for improvement in report writing, based on need, provide support to collect data, analyze, and write report from the collected data related to the sector. 
  • Conduct monthly reviews of performance against the service plan, and especially the KPIs - discuss performance at the team meetings and agree/review specific actions taken to improve any areas of under-performance.
  • Facilitate network with local private practitioners, NGOs, Corporate Office and any other potential agencies related to Agriculture, Fisheries, IT, Automobile, Finance & Admin, Monitoring & Evaluation to achieve expected targets.
  • Maintain programs or projects related strategic liaison with Government, development partners, internal and external consortium partners.
  • Involve in research, knowledge sharing, and the development of new technologies or practices. 
  • Offer technical assistance for managing livestock, producing crops, and adapting to climate change. If necessary, work on matters pertaining to accountability, transparency, and government efficiency.
  • Ensure access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene practices. 
  • Identify skills gaps in the informal sector and ensuring the quality of skills training. 
  • Contribute to develop private sector policy, regulation, investment, and job creation. 
  • Verify that projects or programs follow best practices and quality requirements. Advise on matters pertaining to the particular sector in order to produce high-caliber work.
