    Responsibilities :
  • Develop effective and cost-efficient procurement strategies for sourcing materials essential to the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current suppliers while actively identifying and assessing new vendors.
  • Evaluate purchasing operations, seeking opportunities to enhance product quality and improve delivery timelines.
  • Communicate with management regarding the smooth flow of goods and services that impact production efficiency.
  • Plan procurement activities in alignment with the company’s budget.
  • Process all types of bills, petty cash, ensure submission of bills and dispatch of cheques to the supplier properly PO issuing.
  • Ensure better sourcing of quality products at competitive prices.
  • Do the regular procurement-related tasks like receiving PR, justifying the requirement, quotation collection, negotiation, receiving the goods and sending to the factory, collecting the challans, and processing the bills for payment.
  • Ensuring the quality of the products being procured. Maintain timely delivery of the products procured as per requirements.
  • Confirm timely payment of the suppliers by processing the bills accordingly and on time.
  • Maintain and update an accurate supplier database with pricing, contact information, delivery history, and reliability records.
  • Analyse local market trends for price fluctuations, alternative materials, and emerging suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policy and approval matrix.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/inventory teams to avoid overstocking or stock outs.
  • Track Purchase Orders (POs), Delivery Challans (DCs), and Goods Receiving Notes (GRNs) for full documentation.
  • Coordinate with Accounts/Finance for resolving invoice discrepancies and tax documentation (e.g., VAT Challan).
  • Assist in developing procurement KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and generate regular reports for management.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing and supplier negotiations.
  • Assist in vendor performance evaluation and blacklisting process where required.
