Proven experience in quality control/quality assurance in the fish processing industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, EU standards, and ISO certifications.
Familiarity with microbiological testing, contamination control, and hygiene management.
Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
Ability to implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Marine Fisheries / Fisheries Department, or a related field.
Certification in HACCP, or other food safety management systems (preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in fish processing quality management.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
Leadership skills to manage a quality assurance team and train employees.
Good communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
Ability to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) effectively.

Develop and implement quality control procedures to meet food safety and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, processing stages, and finished products to ensure quality consistency.
Oversee testing for contaminants, freshness, and microbiological safety.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, FDA, EU standards, and other food safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.
Work with FIQC for inspections and approvals.
Identify areas for quality improvement in the fish processing cycle, from sourcing to packaging.
Establish and enforce sanitation and hygiene protocols for processing facilities, equipment, and staff.
Train employees on hygiene, food handling, and safety best practices.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.
Address customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Lead the quality assurance team and promote a culture of quality across the organization.
