Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) was established in 1986 as a national legal aid and human rights organization. Initially its work was limited to providing free legal services to the disempowered particularly women, working children and workers in Dhaka city. But over the last thirty three years, ASK has evolved a more comprehensive approach to the promotion, protection and prevention in the area of legal and human rights. ASK’s strategies to promote human rights
awareness and community activism; offer legal aid through mediation and litigation while survivors are given psycho-social counseling; investigations into human rights violations and their documentation are supplemented by research which together lead to media campaigns to defend human rights, and public interest litigation for law and policy reform.

Salary : Tk. 37000 - 39000 (Monthly)
Educational Requirement : Masters in Drama and Dramatics or any other discipline of Social Science with good academic records. Experience At least 5 years
Other Requirement :
  • The applicants should have experience in the area of NGO sectors with similar responsibilities.
  • Good relationship and networking with media partners for effective collaborations to meet the organization’s objectives
  • Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and in team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge in building individual and organizational capacity in program implementation.
  • Applicant should have good computer knowledge especially in Microsoft Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills and the capacity to produce quality reports independently.
  • Willingness to frequent travel across the project areas.
  • Age limit: Age should not exceed 40 years. However, age may be relaxed for deserving candidates.

    Responsibilities : Position Type: Full Time (40 Hours per week)Duty Station: ASK Office, Dhaka, BangladeshReportable to: Coordinator/Project LeadProject Titel: Enhancing Engagement of Women, Youth, and Other Marginalized Groups to Foster Accountability and Advance Human Rights Culture in BangladeshKey Responsibilities:
  • Implement all planned activities.
  • Responsible for the formation of Different Drama Group.
  • Conduct training for strengthening the capacity of the members of the Group and other cultural activist.
  • Supervise Issue Based theatre presentations at the grassroots level.
  • Responsible for organizing regional and Central human rights festivals.
  • Responsible for organizing national and international day observation events (Central & Local level).
  • Conduct a Workshop on Issue-Based Drama Production & Training of Trainers for theatre groups.
  • Supervise the activities of different drama group, cultural organizations, and schools.
  • Responsible for organizing different types of events at the local & central levels.
  • Prepare field reports and unit reports.
  • Maintain files, records, and other related documents
  • Participate in training, workshops, seminars, etc from ASK.
  • Any other work required by ASK management.
  • Accountable to the Senior coordinator of the Human Rights Awareness (HRA) unit.
