Responsibilities
:
Application is invited for the position of Phlebotomist on prevailing terms and conditions of IAHS-H:Job ResponsibilitiesPreparing patients before drawing bloodExplaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the processFollowing all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areasGathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubesVerifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly transport all specimen samples to a nearby laboratoryAccurately updating patient information in the organizational databaseHelping nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood drawsWorking with supervising Physicians and following their directions at all timesAny other duties assigned by the authority.
