  • 6-8 Years of NGO project implementation experience in Women's Leadership, Human Rights, and Gender Based Violence (GBV)
  • Essential:
  • Master's degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in project management, preferably in women's empowerment and leadership
  • He/she must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Proven experience in working with grassroots organizations and community development initiatives
  • Strong understanding of gender equality, women's rights, and leadership frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Bangla and English
  • Desirable:
  • Experience working in rural and union-level contexts in Bangladesh.
  • Familiarity with the socio-political dynamics of the targeted districts
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software

  • Purpose of the Position:
  • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and implementation of the Nagorikata-CEF-EmpowerHer project. It includes planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting on project activities to ensure that the project's goals and objectives align with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Responsibilities & Context:
  • The project Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring activities at the Nagorikata-CEF-EmpowerHer Project. The project will promote women's leadership and their representation in all the stages of society and social structure.
  • Job Responsibilities:1. Project Planning and Implementation:
  • Develop detailed work plans and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
  • Ensure timely implementation of project activities in the 67 unions across 7 upazilas.
  • Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for women leaders and community stakeholders.
  • 2. Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Build strong relationships with local government institutions, women's organizations, and community groups.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including donors and local authorities.
  • Coordinate with local government and community leaders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • 3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Oversee the implementation of the project's monitoring and evaluation framework.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and provide on-site support to field teams.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely project progress reports, including case studies and success stories.
  • 4. Team Management:
  • Supervise and mentor field and project office staff, including Accountants and project officers.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Address any challenges or bottlenecks in project delivery.
  • 5. Advocacy and Awareness-Raising:
  • Lead advocacy campaigns promoting women's leadership and representation.
  • Organize community-level dialogues and events to foster gender equality.
  • Represent the project in local and national forums, as required.
  • 6. Financial Management:
  • Ensure that project expenditures are in line with approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to maintain transparent and accurate financial records.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for the donor.
  • Deliverables:
  • Comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports
  • Successful completion of all planned activities within the agreed timeline
  • Documentation of lessons learned and best practices
  • Strengthened capacities of women leaders in targeted unions
  • Comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Yearly Audit Report
  • Documents for NGOAB where and when needed
