Educational Requirement : Master of Social Science (MSS) Masters in Social Science (Economics, Development Studies, Women and Gender Studies, Public Administration, Statistics) with good academic records.
Other Requirement :

  • At least 3 years of experience in the following areas: design and implementation of project monitoring (qualitative and quantitative), documentation, reporting and writing, data analysis, and capacity building of PNGO staff.
  • The applicants should have experience in the NGO sector and in a similar position.
  • Good relationship and networking with media partners for effective collaborations to meet the organisation’s objectives.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge in building individual and organizational capacity in program implementation.
  • An understanding of partnership management will be an advantage.
  • Applicant should have good computer knowledge, especially in Microsoft Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills and the capacity to produce quality reports independently.

  • Responsibilities :
  • Project Name: Ending sexual and gender-based violence in public spaces, in the context of work and tertiary educational settings in Bangladesh
  • Project Duration: 35 months
  • Job Description / ResponsibilityThe MEAL Officer will be responsible for leading the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting system of the Project of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK). This role requires a candidate who is acquainted with the system of progress monitoring, result-based monitoring, logical framework, operational plans, and other MIS Monitoring tools.Key responsibilities specific to this project include:
  • Developing different types of formats, M&E tools, techniques and framework, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans.
  • Tracking progress on project activities compared to the operational plan, targets, and indicators, specifically focusing on Output 2.1 related to strengthening capacities of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and tertiary educational institutions to prevent SGBV.
  • Preparing monitoring reports based on field monitoring in the project catchment areas.
  • Visiting working areas, including the universities in Khulna, Kurigram, Jamalpur, Bogura, and Patuakhali, to monitor project initiatives and provide necessary feedback to the concerned management.
  • Preparing and submitting reports to the donor, partners, and ASK related to project progress and the logical framework matrix.
  • Overseeing the development and piloting of tools designed to collect data on social and gender norms in selected universities to inform prevention interventions and measure shifts.
  • Monitoring the impact tracking mechanisms, such as KAP surveys, feedback boxes, and digital polls, used to measure changes in attitudes and behaviors resulting from Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) campaigns.
  • Tracking project outcomes related to the strengthening of legal aid and psycho-social support for GBV survivors, and efforts to ensure inclusive services for women with disabilities, gender diversified people, and ethnic minority women.
  • Documenting learning and evidence gathered through key activities, including Needs Assessments, Capacity Training, Learning Dialogues, and Women’s Safety Audits (WSA) conducted in the five selected universities.
  • Maintaining records of program and project data, lessons learned, case stories, and best practices, and sharing these with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Developing and ensuring the implementation and maintenance of project databases and maintaining a functional physical document management system at the district level.
  • Giving comments and feedback on proposed methods for baseline and end-line surveys and evaluations/assessments submitted by external consultants/firms.
  • Contributing to supervising the entire process of surveys, studies, evaluation, and assessment conducted by external resource persons/firms.
  • Performing any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
