Diploma High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Engineering or a related field is a plus.

Must hold a valid API 653 certification.
API 510 certification is a significant plus.
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience inspecting steel above-ground storage tanks and/or pressure vessels.
Proven experience with NDT methods; NDT Level II certifications (UTT, MT, PT, VT) are highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of ASTM, ASME Section IX, and API standards.
Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing tanks (up to 150+ ft), working at heights, and navigating confined spaces.
Strong computer skills for report writing (MS Word, Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and certified API 653 Inspector to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) and vessels through meticulous inspection, in strict compliance with API 653 standards. This role is hands-on and requires a deep understanding of steel tank and vessel construction, repair, and alteration processes. Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections of above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) and pressure vessels in accordance with API 653, API 510, and related standards.
Conduct inspections for new construction, repairs, alterations, and in-service tanks.
Utilize Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, with a strong emphasis on Ultrasonic Thickness (UTT) testing.
Perform visual inspections (VT) during blasting, coating, and welding operations.
Monitor and inspect weld procedures and welder qualifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
Generate detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and compliance with codes.
Identify anomalies, corrosion mechanisms, and potential failures.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
Champion safety protocols and ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and site-specific safety plans.
